Pupils are referred into the Whitehouse PRU via the Fair Access Panel, who are a team of Head teachers and professionals who meet every month to allocate school places to vulnerable pupils who need to be re-integrated into mainstream schools from a PRU/ESBD setting, have been permanently excluded or move to another school for a fresh start. The Admissions team liaise with parents/carers and schools/PRUs/ESBD and the panel to facilitate a smooth transition. The Fair Access Protocol can be found here.
The Whitehouse PRU admits children who have been permanently excluded from Primary schools in Hull and surrounding areas. Pupils may also be admitted for supported placements, by arrangement with parents/carers and mainstream schools.

The School Day
It is important that all pupils have high attendance and are punctual each day.
‘Points Reflection’ is scheduled at regular intervals throughout the day. This time is central to our behaviour policy and is consistent across the school. Points Reflection is used to encourage the pupils to reflect on their own behaviour and attitude to learning. Staff and pupils use this time to identify progress made and targets for improving behaviour and engagement with learning.
